8" Carbon Skillet & Cordura Bag

Pathfinder Carbon Steel Skillet with Cordura Bag – Lightweight, Durable, and Adventure-Ready

Discover the unrivaled versatility and durability of carbon steel with the Pathfinder Carbon Steel Skillet. Engineered to provide the benefits of cast iron in a lightweight, non-stick, and scratch-resistant form, this skillet is a game-changer for outdoor and on-the-road cooking. With no need for seasoning and compatibility with even metal utensils, this skillet makes cooking easier—whether you're in the backcountry or at a campsite.

Unlike traditional cast iron, this carbon steel skillet requires no seasoning and is scratch-resistant, however we recommend that you wipe it down with a thin layer of oil or fat after cleaning before storing. It is carbon steel and will oxidize over time if not oiled. - See Skillet Care below for optimum performance.

The locking folding handle makes it compact for storage and easy to carry, and its laser-etched logo adds a touch of style. With this skillet in your cookware collection, you’re ready for any culinary adventure.

Recommend use of Plastic or Wooden utensils, however stainless is safe to use when used responsibly.

Skillet Care:

• Avoid harsh scrubbing:
Never use steel wool, abrasive scrubbing pads or heavy cleaners as they can strip away the pan's seasoning.

• Minimal soap:

Use only a tiny amount of standard dish soap to clean, as too much can remove the seasoning.

• Dry immediately:

Always dry the pan completely after washing to prevent rusting.

• apply oil or fat:

After drying, apply a thin layer of cooking oil or fat to the pan before storing.

• Simmer in water: Add a small amount of water to the pan and simmer on low heat to loosen stubborn food before scrubbing
• Wood spatula: Use a wooden or plastic spatula to scrape off remaining food particles.

• Put in dishwasher: Never put a carbon steel skillet in the dishwasher.

• Soak for long periods: Avoid soaking the pan in water for extended periods.

• Use cold water shock: Let the pan cool down gradually instead of rinsing with cold water immediately after cooking.
