Akashi Single Malt Ume Cask is a unique Japanese whiskey that blends traditional craftsmanship with innovative aging techniques. Distilled at the White Oak Distillery in Japan, this 4-year-old single malt has been matured in umeshu (plum wine) casks, giving it an intriguing fruity twist and a distinct profile unlike any other whiskey.
- Taste: On the palate, this whiskey is smooth and vibrant with a delightful combination of plum, citrus zest, and malty sweetness. The influence of the ume cask adds a unique fruity element that sets it apart from typical whiskeys, creating a distinctive and refreshing experience.
- Finish: The finish is clean and slightly tangy, with lingering notes of stone fruit and mild spice, leaving a fresh and rounded aftertaste that invites another sip.
