The acrylic sandwich that makes up the ant farm has a separation of 1.5 cm, providing the perfect space for the ants to dig and create their gallery system. This durable material, along with the transparent acrylic lid, ensures full visibility without interfering with the life of the colony.Quick and easy setup: All you need to do is add the pre-moistened sand inside the ant farm and carefully introduce the colony of ants from the test tube. The sand and stone granules included in the kit help recreate as natural an environment as possible. Additionally, the base of the ant farm is designed to hold both food and water, making it easier for your little workers to access. To ensure your ants have a healthy environment, control the humidity with the included pipette, adding 5 to 10 ml of water depending on the ambient temperature. There's no need to moisten all the sand—just a part of it, so the ants can decide where to settle their colony. An important detail: if the colony is small, they may not immediately need to use the foraging area, but you can use a piece of aluminum foil as a temporary feeder and waterer.
