Care Guide: Anubias congensis is a relatively low-maintenance plant that thrives in a variety of aquatic environments. Follow these care guidelines to ensure its health and vibrancy:

Lighting: Anubias congensis prefers moderate to low lighting conditions. Avoid exposing it to intense, direct light, as this can lead to algae growth or leaf burn. Opt for full-spectrum aquarium lighting or provide filtered light for optimal growth.

Water Parameters: Anubias congensis thrives in a range of water parameters. It prefers slightly acidic to neutral water with a pH level of 6.5-7.5. Maintain a water temperature between 72-82°F (22-28°C) for optimal growth. It can tolerate a wide range of water hardness, making it adaptable to various setups.

Substrate and Placement: Anchor Anubias congensis to aquarium decorations, rocks, or driftwood using fishing line or plant-safe glue. Avoid burying the rhizome, as this can lead to rotting. The rhizome should be exposed above the substrate to allow for proper growth.

Fertilization: Anubias congensis is a slow-growing plant that obtains nutrients primarily through its roots. While it can benefit from supplemental fertilization, it is not necessary in most setups. If desired, use a liquid aquarium fertilizer with micronutrients and follow the manufacturer's instructions for dosing.

Water Circulation: Moderate water circulation is ideal for Anubias congensis. Ensure sufficient water movement to prevent stagnant areas, which can promote algae growth. Gentle water flow will help distribute nutrients and oxygen to the plant.

Maintenance: Regularly remove any dead or decaying leaves to maintain the plant's appearance and overall health. Pruning is rarely necessary unless it becomes too large for your desired aquascape. Avoid sudden changes in water parameters or excessive handling to minimize stress on the plant.

Compatibility: Anubias congensis is a versatile plant that can thrive in both freshwater aquariums and paludariums. It is compatible with a wide range of fish species and can be placed alongside other aquatic plants, rocks, or driftwood to create a stunning aquascape.
