This is a natural piece of Black Tourmaline, aka Schorl. Its bottom is cut so that it stands upright, with rough sides and an unpolished termination on top. It also has some shiny silver, orange, and white Mica on it. This is a self-standing point.
Black Tourmaline is also known as Schorl Tourmaline. The name is derived from a Sri Lankan regional term called ‘turmali’, which was a word used to refer to yellow zircon. This came about because of a mistake in labeling the consignment, and the name just stuck.
Black Tourmaline has lots of vertical striations, furrows, and ridges, and this is how you will recognize it when it’s in its natural form.
Measurements are approximately: This piece of Black Tourmaline is 5.50 inches tall and 2.75 inches wide.
Shipping Terms: Your order will be carefully packed and shipped via USPS or UPS within 3 weekdays upon completed check out.
