- CHRIS CHRISTENSEN CLASSIC SHEAR SET – a no-nonsense professional dog grooming scissor set to suit any grooming experience; at-home beginner, show exhibitor, or seasoned dog groomer. The Classic Shear Set contains 4 different types of grooming shears – a straight shear, a curved shear, a thinner, and a chunky blender – presented in a zippered storage case for protection, storage, and transportation. Collectively, these shears are suitable for all dog breeds and coat types. The set also includes a microfiber cloth and shear oil for everyday cleaning and maintenance. A solid shear set for everyday professional grooming and serious DIY Doodle grooming.
- SUPERIOR 440C STEEL – the Chris Christensen Classic Shear is forged from high-quality steel for blade longevity and provides a razor-sharp, clean cut all the way to the tip. The hybrid convex/bevel edge gives a perfect smooth finish during the final stages of scissoring. The Classic Shear is lightweight, perfectly balanced, and can be flipped for hard-to-reach areas and achieving grooming perfection. Signature Chris Christensen quality at an unbeatable price.
- ERGONOMIC COMFORT – the canted finger holes help provide an ergonomic grip that improves comfort and reduces strain on the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder, especially during long cutting sessions. These allow the hand to rest more naturally. Keeping your hand in a more neutral, relaxed position enables faster and more stable blade movement. This provides greater control for a variety of cutting techniques.
- CHUNKY BLENDER – a blending scissor ideal for making faster lines on double-coated breeds, the comb over scissor technique, and providing texture, giving a soft and natural look – perfect for wire coats. Use also on legs, underlines, ears, and heads, as well as finishing Poodle-type coats for that plush look. They provide amazing finishes on rustic coat types, such as the Schnauzer or Portuguese Water Dog, and experienced groomers use them to remove scissor marks.
- CLASSIC THINNER – the Chris Christensen thinning shear for dogs alleviates excess weight in the coat, softening lines and blending between sections from longer areas to shorter, or clippered sections to non-clippered, perfect for American Cockers or Setters. Thinning shears are great for finishing rough coated breeds like Chow Chows, Rough Collies, Australian Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, and Shetland Sheepdogs. Use on smooth coated dogs to create lines, remove cowlicks, and thin out the coat.
- CURVED SHEAR – curved shears are ideal for feet and face work and help achieve a rounded shape on scissored/curly coat types such as Bedlington Terriers, Poodles, Bichons, etc., and can be easily switched from side-to-side to achieve perfection. Generally great for all breeds, especially for showcasing artistic styles such as Asian Fusion, Poodle top knots, beveling feet, and overall scissor work.
- STRAIGHT SHEAR – straight shears, the most versatile dog grooming scissors, can be used everywhere. They are essential for drop coated breeds, scissored (curly) coat types, and rustic coat types. Our Classic Straight shears are multi-taskers, capable of creating crisp lines and razor-sharp shapes on legs, skirts, and the overall groom, and ideal for shaping ears and trimming whiskers.
- BEST IN SHOW RESULTS – steeped in dog show tradition, Chris Christensen has been crafting excellence and cultivating winners since 1996. Regarded highly in and out of the show ring, Chris Christensen dog grooming products have a reputation for performance and perfection. Groom like a professional and get best in show results.
