Continental 887BE, 4-Gallon Classic Polypropylene Smoking Waste Receptacle with Steel Inner Liner, Round, Beige (Case of 1)

The Continental Classic smoking waste receptacle is a round, polypropylene smoking receptacle designed for outdoor use, with a hooded opening to keep water out while minimizing the release of smoke. Polypropylene has a higher melting point than polyethylene to provide greater fire resistance. The receptacle has a galvanized steel inner pail that removes for emptying and cleaning. It has a capacity of 4 gallons (18.9 L), and it measures 41 x 14 inches/104.14 x 35.56 cm (H x W). (H is the vertical distance from lowest to highest point, W is the horizontal distance from left to right.) Trash cans are used for the disposal and temporary storage of garbage. They are typically made of plastic or metal and sometimes have a top or lid to contain odors and waste. Certain garbage cans meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for the disposal of medical waste or National Sanitation Foundation/American National Standards Institute (NSF/ANSI) requirements for food handling and processing. Others include a lock to prevent unauthorized access, safeguard confidential materials, and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements. Waste bins can also be color-coded to facilitate the separation of recyclable waste, such as bottles, cans, paper, and general refuse. Ash/trash cans typically include an ash tray on top for cigarette disposal. Trash cans are used in virtually all commercial and industrial environments.Continental manufactures plastic and metal products such as restroom supplies, buckets, refuse containers, carts, and trigger sprayers for the janitorial and food service industries. The company is headquartered in Bridgeton, MO.
