In-game, players guide the skateboarder using the Game Boy's directional pad, with A and B buttons for jumping and crouching. The skateboarder can also strike enemies by leaping onto them with his skateboard. Points are earned by collecting aluminum cans and ice creams. The game begins with three lives, and extra lives are awarded at specific score thresholds or when a 1-UP item is obtained during a stage. Lives are lost when the skateboarder's health depletes or he falls into pits or traps. The game concludes when all lives are exhausted.
