DIY Bioethanol Firebox for Electric Fireplaces

Our DIY Bioethanol Firebox for Electric Fireplaces gives you more flexibility and is without doubt the perfect solution for replacing your old standard electric fireplace or a redundant gas fire opening. You can now easily and quickly create your dream fireplace with a mantelpiece of your choice.

Also, we specially designed the DIY Bioethanol Firebox to fit our LEXHAM Bioethanol Mini Basket Fire Insert. It holds a Mini burner of a 750 ml capacity and includes a special set with the 18 pieces Coal Set.

Additionally, the included Black Spacer Trim (frame) is a practical installation accessory that boxes the sides of the inset fire. It allows the fireplace to be fitted flush against a flat wall or accommodate a shallower recess without requiring major wall modifications or structural building work. The spacer also brings the unit forward to compensate for reduced depth at the back where required.

At the same time, the double thickness and the heat shield at the back provide a durable heat protection for your wall as our unique venting system pushes the heat out quickly into the room.

Moreover, the lid includes Fragrance Diffusers, making the fireplace compatible with our Aura Oils. By sliding the lid across slightly, you can regulate the size of flame, therefore the heat output (2-2.5 kW) and the burning time (2.5-4 hrs).

This unit is suitable for DIY electric fire conversion; however, it produces a real flame so regular fire regulations for building fireplaces will apply.

NOTE: Every mantelpiece is different! For example, an electric fireplace made of wood or MDF needs a replacement or a lining of the back panel. Therefore, please make sure to use a non-flammable material to do this. We recommend using Vermiculite Board for this purpose.
