The Engawa Bench from Blomus is a sophisticated fusion of Japanese-inspired minimalism and precision European woodworking. Moving away from standard symmetrical seating, this elongated piece features an intentional, asymmetrical leg arrangement that creates a sense of balanced movement. The bench showcases meticulous hand-finished details, particularly where the beveled seat transitions seamlessly into the robust frame. Whether utilized as a serene entryway seat, a low-profile dining bench, or even a minimalist coffee table, the Engawa is designed with a structural integrity and aesthetic clarity intended to serve as a functional heirloom for generations.
Highlights:
- Features a distinctive asymmetrical silhouette that draws inspiration from the Japanese concept of "en" (relation) and "gawa" (side)
- Made in Poland
- Offers versatile functionality, performing equally well as a wide seating surface or a low-profile accent table
- Showcases expert joinery with a beveled top surface that provides a refined, sculptural edge to the natural wood
- Sourced from FSC-certified forests to ensure environmentally responsible and sustainable production
