• Details:  This is a wonderful Oriental Temple Jar (aka Ginger Jar and/or Lidded Vase).  Made in Hong Kong, exclusively for Maas Brothers stores (more about them below).  The hand painted flowers are very bright and cheerful, and the purple flowers have an iridescent finish.  Gorgeous piece, elegant decor.

• Dimensions:  10.0 inches Tall with lid.  Approx. 5.0 inches in Diameter at its widest point.
• Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Very Good Condition.  There are no chips, cracks, or scratches. However, there is a faint dark mark towards the bottom, we photographed it for you. Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections. 

Maas Brothers was a department store located in Tampa, Florida.  Founded by Abe and Isaac Maas in 1886, they grew from a small stores to a chain of 39 stores throughout the Gulf Coast of Florida.  In 1929, Abe and Isaac Maas sold Maas Brothers to Hahn Department Stores.  In 1935, Hahn Department Stores changed its name to Allied Stores Corporation, however, the stores were still operated by the Maas family.  In 1989, now owned by Federated and Allied, they filed bankruptcy,  a couple of years later, in 1991, the stores were consolidated into the Burdines department store chain, which in turn merged with Macy's in 2005.  There are several stores still operating as Macy's.
