Hellboy Betta | Male

A Hellboy Betta is a vibrant Betta splendens characterized by its intense red coloration, often combined with other bold hues like black, white, or iridescent blue, and typically features short, agile Plakat (short-finned) fins, making it an active and striking aquarium fish. Males are best kept in a solitary aquarium or with carefully selected tank mates in larger aquarium sizes.

Similarly seen across other lineages of domestic betta, planted aquariums are the preferred environment of this fish as well.

Husbandry & Care:

Temperament: Peaceful to Semi-Aggressive. Domestic bettas can vary in aggression on an individual basis.

Minimum Tank Size: 5 Gallons for a single betta. 10+ Gallons for additional tank mates

Water Temperature: 78-84 °F

Water pH: 6.0-8.0

Social Group: Solitary

Diet: Carnivorous; Frozen Bloodworms/Brine Shrimp, Commercial Betta Diets, Live Flightless Fruit Flies
