The drill bits cut up to 19 different-sized holes in 1/8-inch increments. The lockhead screw on each drill bit holds the blade securely at a desired boring diameter. From the Manufacturer Irwin Lockhead Adjustable Wood Bit, with a boring range of 7/8 to 3 inches and an overall length of 6-1/2 inches in the one-piece drop forged construction bit, for general purpose boring in all types of wood where a variety of larger size holes are required. Bit features a wedge type blade with a lock and slow-feed screw point and the special precision ground shank has three equally spaced flats for use in drill presses having three jaws.
