Few pieces of paddling gear earn a genuine reputation over years of hard use. The Kokatat Women's Meridian Drysuit has done exactly that, and the latest version makes a strong case for being the best it's ever been.

The foundation of the update is GORE-TEX PRO fabric, which brings meaningful improvements in weight and durability without giving anything up on waterproof performance. The women's-specific pattern includes streamlined leg construction for better mobility in the cockpit, and updated drop seat routing that reduces interference with boat outfitting, a thoughtful detail for sea kayakers and whitewater paddlers who run a heavily outfitted boat. A double flap over the entry zipper and a drop seat zipper flap add extra protection against water finding its way in during demanding conditions on Great Lakes crossings or steep creek runs.

The Meridian carries over the features that made it a favourite in the first place: latex gaskets at the neck and wrists with neoprene punch-through over-cuffs for comfort, a dual-adjustable Ariaprene overskirt, integrated GORE-TEX PRO socks, and a zippered chest pocket with key lanyard. Every suit is 100% fill tested before it leaves the factory, and Kokatat backs it with a limited lifetime warranty. Custom sizing and colour options are available through Frontenac Outfitters for paddlers who want a truly dialled-in fit. Custom orders typically take four to eight weeks and additional costs apply.
