Vibrant artworks by American artist Freddy Reitz, now residing in Germany, convey powerful messages of freedom in vivid colors. Reitz reimagines the US flag as a kaleidoscope, echoing the 'melting pot' concept, with a collage backdrop adding a fresh twist. Her 'correspondent art' aims to foster a dialogue between the artwork and viewer, balancing boldness and subversion. After gaining recognition with her Berlin Series, exhibited at the reopening of the Brandenburg Gate, Reitz continued exploring themes of East-West fusion. LUMAS showcases a 2009 Berlin piece and two works from the 'Crazy Ketchup' series, featuring pop art-inspired brand label alienation. In these, a Crazy Ketchup bottle bursts with colors, echoing pop art's best.
