Product Overview

The MG 1/100 RB-79 Ball Ver.Ka brings Hajime Katoki's refined interpretation of the Earth Federation's support mobile pod to the Master Grade lineup. Despite its compact and unconventional design, the kit features a highly detailed internal structure, mechanical surface detailing, and a fully realized cockpit that captures the industrial aesthetic of the Universal Century setting.

The Ball's articulated manipulator arms, opening cockpit hatch, and rotating 180mm cannon provide a surprising amount of display flexibility. Clear parts, maintenance-themed details, and included pilot and mechanic figures add extra realism, making this kit a favorite among builders who appreciate mechanical detail and support units alongside their mobile suit collections.

About RB-79 Ball

The RB-79 Ball was developed by the Earth Federation Forces during the One Year War as an emergency combat unit based on a civilian work pod. Equipped with a powerful 180mm cannon and reinforced armor, the Ball served primarily as a support unit alongside Federation mobile suits. While often viewed as an underpowered machine compared to dedicated mobile suits, it played a significant role in several major battles and became one of the most recognizable support units in the Gundam Universal Century timeline.
