MUSICIAN’S ANATOMY: TRUMPET, HORN, TROMBONE, and TUBA

A new book in the Anatomy of the Musician series to free your playing and rediscover the joy of playing!Marc Papillon refutes several common pedagogical clichés related to the absolute pursuit of relaxation: shoulder relaxation, low breathing, arm weight, soft tongue... These preconceived notions do not allow for the optimal overall progression of musical performance without hindrance. The author relies on the remarkable capacity for change inherent in musicians, noting their ability to quickly integrate new information. Offering musicians anatomical shortcuts to integrate into their playing is a source of proven progress. The complementarity of the bodily approach and mental preparation is also proposed: the link between balanced muscle tone and mental calm.Préfaces : André FEYDY - Trumpeter and TeacherJean-Philippe Navrez - Principal Trombone at the Orchestre National de France and Teacher Read more
