Product Description Palmgren's 4 inch Milling Machine Vise is intended for assisting with demanding vertical and horizontal machining tasks, such as milling and shaping, where clamping and secure mounting are all required. It can be used on drill presses, mills, drills, milling machines and grinders. Made for 30,000 PSI tensile strength, fine cast iron, this durable general purpose vise also has a bed and base parallel to 0.001 inches. The center of the base is open for holding work through the body of the vise. Replaceable steel jaw plates include a fixed jaw that is grooved both horizontally and vertically for holding round stock. With an Acme style lead screw, this Palmgren milling vise allows for fine-tuned adjustments to prevent any unnecessary damage to your workpieces. Palmgren's milling vises are the economical standard machine vise and is recommended for milling, drilling, boring, tapping and finishing operations on most parts. These vises can be used on your machining centers as well as your basic manual machine tools. so you can focus on the job at hand.
