Penguin Pottery - Specialty Series - Velaris. Mid Fire Glaze for Clay, Pottery Glaze, Cone 5 and Cone 6 - Ceramic Glaze for Pottery (1 Pint | 16 oz | 473 ml)

Penguin Pottery’s glazes offer a huge range of effects to choose from: vivid, bright, smooth, glossy, textured, satin, matte; opaque, semi-opaque, semi-translucent, translucent, flowing, non-flowing. Our low fire glazes are perfect for school projects, classrooms, studios, and potters who do not fire at high temperature. These low fire glazes are the potter’s choice when looking for a wide palette of colors, like celadon, lively reds, deep greens, bright blues. Our mid fire glazes offer similar ranges but also introduce interesting effects and tonality not available in low fire glazes. Our glazes are lead-free, non-toxic and food safe (when properly fired and tested). Make sure to shake the jar well before using, and do not allow it to freeze. Try them out and let us know what you think!

• [COLOR PROFILE] - Velaris features a rich blend of deep indigo, cobalt blue, and dark violet. The glaze includes subtle mottling and layering, creating depth and variation in tone. This high-contrast color combination gives the surface a dramatic, luminous appearance.
• [PENGUIN POTTERY GLAZES] - Conscientiously crafted in Vermont, USA, our lead-free, non-toxic, food-safe mid-fire glazes bring you rich colors and effects you won’t find in low-fire formulas.
• [INSTRUCTIONS] - Always fire in a calibrated pottery kiln - not a kitchen oven - at the proper cone to match your swatch. Over- or under-firing can damage your work or yield uneven results.
• [1% FOR SCHOOLS] - The Penguin Fund is Penguin Pottery's commitment to the future of ceramics. We donate 1% of sales to underserved public schools that need support for their ceramics classes. We also support artists through the Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+).
• [LIFETIME WARRANTY] - All Penguin Pottery products are backed by our Lifetime Warranty. If you have any issues, we will give you a refund or replace your product - no questions asked.
