Rumee 220 Portable Lamp - Cloud White

A sculptural, portable lamp that evokes the natural world.

For the Rumee 220 Portable Lamp, designer Gabriel Tan was inspired by the wavy curves of a spacious, broad hat, as well as organic shapes in nature. Made in Denmark, Rumee is designed to provide high-quality, close-up light while also emitting a 360-degree soft ambient glow. This dimmable light is equipped with a diffuser for glare-free illumination. The name of the lamp combines the Danish word for room or space (“rum”) and the English word “me,” to evoke the sound of “roomie” (a roommate). The lamp’s manufacturer, Louis Poulsen, is represented in MoMA’s collection.
