Seachem Reef Strontium

Designed to restore and maintain strontium levels naturally found in seawater, this marine conditioner supports vigorous coral growth without altering pH levels. Strontium plays a crucial role similar to calcium in reef ecosystems, promoting healthy development and vitality. The formula contains 10,000 mg/L of bioavailable strontium as a gluconate complex, which offers multiple benefits: enhanced bioavailability, a rich source of metabolic energy to sustain peak coral growth, and prevention of strontium precipitation and alkalinity depletion.

Importantly, the gluconate complex is free from nitrogen and phosphorus, ensuring it does not contribute to unwanted algae growth in well-maintained reef systems. This makes it an ideal choice for maintaining balanced water chemistry in saltwater aquariums.

Usage Guidelines:
Beginner: Add 1 capful (5 mL) per 80 L (20 gallons) twice weekly.
Advanced: Test strontium levels and dose accordingly to reach 8–12 mg/L, with each dose increasing strontium by approximately 0.6 mg/L. Adjust dose size or frequency as needed to maintain levels.
Expert: After determining consumption rates, set up a continuous drip system. Use the formula m=0.4vs (where m = mL of product to add to top-off water, v = tank volume in gallons, and s = desired strontium increase in mg/L). For example, to raise strontium by 2 mg/L in a 50-gallon tank, add 40 mL to the top-off water.
