This plant likes bright light but is best kept away from direct heat. Avoid placing in an area that is too dry or wet, this makes it ideal for the damper areas of arid setups where a microclimate of higher humidity is required. Provides great cover for Tortoises and other arid species.
Sedge Grass 'Everest' forms compact mounds of curved, blade-like leaves featuring a bold white stripe down the middle. The foliage displays a deep and vibrant green hue that intensifies over time. In the months of April and June, the plant blooms with small, brown flowers that beautifully complement the foliage.
Optimal growing conditions for Sedge Grass 'Everest' include full sun or partial shade and well-drained, fertile soil. It is tolerant of various soil types, except for excessively wet soil in the winter. Exposure to excessive sunlight may cause the foliage to lighten in colour.
This versatile plant is perfect for borders, rockeries, raised beds, or containers. Additionally, it is commonly used at the front of borders or in mixed containers due to its adaptability and attractive appearance.
Grows to a maximum height and spread of 30-50 cm
