Snowmobiling Across America: A Fritz Sprandel Adventure

In the 1970's a well known adventurer, Fritz Sprandel, had attempted several extraordinary dares or challenges. One of those challenges was to drive a snowmobile from coast-to-coast starting at the Pacific Ocean and completing the task by driving his snowmobile into the Atlantic Ocean. There were many dangers and challenges along the way including no snow at the start of the trip. Although everyone said the trip could not be done, Fritz wound up with a spot in the Guinness Book of world Records. This story really keeps going. Just this past December (2024) at the age of eighty years old, Fritz was invited to lead a pack of Vintage Snowmobiles across the Mackinac Bridge.
