Texas is on the Record! Readers of The Church of God in Christ in the Lone Star State: A Lasting Legacy, will walk with the pioneers who clearly understood their mission. Women brought the message of Holy Ghost baptism in 1910 and Pentecost spread radiantly across the State. And beginning with the restless ambition and trailblazing work of Bishop E.M. Page—the creation of Districts, Ministers and Workers Convocations, the establishment of Page Normal Industrial and Bible Institute in 1927—Texas has garnered an impressive legacy of innovation, creativity and spiritual prowess. Possessing an acute understanding that this great narrative must be documented for posterity, the Texas Inter-Jurisdictional Council of Bishop trusted Glenda Williams Goodson to take on the mammoth project of bringing to life its history through The Church Of God In Christ in the Lone Star State: A Lasting Legacy. Readers will enjoy the results of years of research. Church Of God In Christ adherents can proudly pass the rich heritage of their church in Texas to the next generation. Read more
