This Timken RAO series cast iron pillow block bearing unit is composed of a cast iron housing equipped with two bolt holes for applications where mounting space is limited. Within the housing is a heavy-duty double rubber sealed single row ball bearing that has a wide, extended inner ring to provide increased support to the shaft and accommodate additional lubricant. The bearing supports both heavy and continuous shock loads, and it locks to the shaft with an eccentric (asymmetric) self-locking collar that is secured with a setscrew. The housing has a stainless steel grease fitting for lubricating the bearing unit.
