Tsunami SaltX II ArmourTech Spinning Reel

The Tsunami SALTX II Spinning reel is one of the most advanced designs in watertight reels built from the highest quality machined parts. Built for performance and durability, each SALTX II reel combines the most efficient and advanced functions and features available in spinning reels.

The fully sealed design boasts 20 separate seals to prevent salt and other contaminants from damaging the reel or interfering with its functionality, season after season. The "Hammer Drag System” has multiple seals to insure smooth, powerful function in any condition. The digitally optimized S-Drive precision stainless steel main and pinion gears assure strength and smooth operation under load. Seven dual sealed stainless steel ball bearings are paired with a one of a kind sealed anti reverse bearing found only in SALTX II reels.

Both the body and rotor are precision machined from A6061 aluminum for strength and weight reduction. The Armourtech coating provides a harder surface for more corrosion resistance and additional protection from scratches and wear.  The braid ready spool has a Titanium lip to resist damage and reduce weight. The bail wire and main shaft of each reel is also made of Titanium to reduce weight and improve performance. The manually operated bail mechanism functions with a sealed piston bail spring.
